We had a great meeting on November 11, 2015. The new board members were introduced and we got straight to work. The Board discussed the next fundraising event and tentatively voted to have it at the General Motor Test Track again in May 2016. The financial report was also discussed by Johnny Wright with a report of over $12,000 raised from the Fall Carnival Fundraising event in September! Also, Alex Disla announced the donation from Jet Blue of 2 round trip tickets to raise money for the charity! The Board members were challenged to find families in need over the next few months that we can provide birthday parties for and also asked to donate something from their birthday to the charity. Each Board Member was also asked to come up with something that they felt they could do to contribute to the charity. Blake Lochmandy quickly though of something to volunteer –his baking efforts to bake some cakes for the birthday parties!! The meeting was a big success and the kids had a great time!
